What is wrong with this place?

Why is it that everyone equates sexist to women being oppressed? When I say that I’m a feminist, I mean that I support EQUAL rights for women, as in the social construct is oppressive to men in some cases. People need to realize that America isn’t stuck in the age of arranged marriages, but rather one where society is conditioned that women are all goddess and need to be catered to; I feel like people need to read “The Manipulated Man (1971)” or something. Also, when the hell are people going to grow up and get over this whole “God” thing? If you want to use some stories or something to instil good values into your family and you think religion is the best way then go for it, but get that shit off of my money and out of my court house. It’s going to be really awkward if I have to go testify in court and when they ask me to put my hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth I offer to pinky swear with the judge instead because even that would mean more to me. The part that’s even more agitating than all this crap is that the majority of the country would berate me for saying these OBVIOUS things, as if I’M the one who’s crazy.
